week 8
The items will now be replaced in the room instead of throughout the level as it was changed to last week which seems more workable now.
I had a problem with my UV's only because I forgot to save the max file after unwrapping so i then had to go back and do about 7-8 of them over again.
The assets level is fine and most of the level details are working like the timer and the list Todd programmed.
I spent the whole class making the second half of the assets and unwrapping them. Monday I will start texturing them.
The project is going well so far and when I finish up the assets today it will be epic.

week 7
I'm building half of the assets for the game, then unwrap them. the next step will be texturing.
The game goal changed a little because the items needs to find to win the game will be found throughout the level instead of in just one room.
No problems at this time.
All the assets so far are working in the building process, and the unwrapping process also.
I spent the whole class making assets and unwrapping them for the game.

Week 5 Postmortem
The title is: Survive the games Genre is a Stealth action game for the PC. The Target market: 18-25 and the background story is about one man from Canada that travels to a jungle located in South America. The main character is named Robert. He travels to South America because he is on a secret mission from the government, and he has to recover some stolen gold located inside the warehouse.
Describe your role?
My role in the group was the level designer in which I was to create the level, assets, level textures, and lights. The level I created was a warehouse in the jungle. The assets for the game were gold, crates, shelves, health packs, a key, and boxes for the shelves. I textured the level with Marble floor, Metal wall, Styrofoam, and HANGAR textures. The gold room I used the HANGAR texture, the ceiling I used the Styrofoam texture, for the floor I used the Marble floor texture, and the wall I used the Metal wall texture. The lights in the level were volume lights.
What went right?
The level works which is epic and the enemies characters are in the game. The health pack works and the key half works because you can pick it up but there is not a door to use it on. The shelves, the gold, and boxes all worked fine in the level. The machine gun worked not the enemies can harm you. The lights in the game worked to way they are supposed to in the game. The environment i.e. the jungle came out pretty good because and it’s a nice feel for the outside area of the game just before you enter the warehouse to start the game.
What when wrong?
Torque just doesn’t like us because most of what we were trying to do just didn’t work and that’s not epic at all. First the door would not do what it was suppose to do which is to open up with the key and even worse the texture would not even show up on the door. The second thing that when wrong is the end game trigger would simply just not work at all. Third thing is that the blaster for some reason just would not work so we had to use the machine gun for the enemies in the game. Fourth thing that when wrong is the path for the enemies patrols didn’t work so we they had to just make them stationery enemies. The next thing that when wrong is the interface GUI the starting title screen changed to some past picture from a different game that was made in the past and when it loads up it then switches to the new one I made for the game. Through all the problems we changed the main character to the astronaut, the gun change to the machine gun from the crossbow, the enemies are robots, and I destroyed the door because it was acting dumb and not working. Then we have a key in the game that goes to no door. The textures on the health packs for some reason are dark and I don’t know why.
What would you do differently or add?
I would make the level bigger so that you can more room to hide. I would add in an end game trigger to end the game when you get to the gold the game ends. The robots would have blasters and they would come after you when they see you and try to take you out. Add in more cover for the player and more health packs. I would also put in some traps in the game like a pitfall or some spikes.
